Carol Ferris is a practicing astrologer based in Portland Oregon, enjoying working with clients since 1980. For more than four decades, her astrological and cosmological work has unfolded through teaching, mentoring and writing, with a particular passion for synthesizing symbolic thinking - from Jungian psychology to indigenous art traditions. Her M.A. thesis at Marylhurst University was titled “The Sky’s Body: Constellations and Medicine”, which details her research in the Western zodiacal and Classical Chinese Medicine frameworks of sky watching, record keeping and pattern making. Beginning with the emergent light of February,

1st month of governance in the holomap, we will immerse in:

  • Resonant observations and symbolism

    Learn from our ancestors, developing symbolic thinking and exploring human's relationship to nature and to phenomena celestial & terrestrial.

  • The luminous teachings of both systems

    Understand both Western astrology and Classical Chinese Medicine systems and principles as we delve into the intersection between soma and psyche. The Holomap developed by Heiner Fruehauf, PhD, L.Ac will be studied.

  • The correlation of starry sky to earthly nature

    Month by month, we will attend to what nature is showing us: her signs&rhythms, and what they reveal about personal health and the health of the collective.

We begin on February 6th, a powerful astrological initiation for the new Lunar cycle.

    No, this is not a CEU course.

  • What is the class size?

    The cohort will be capped at 30 enrollments because we'll work with the personal horoscopes of class members.

  • Will we talk about current events?

    Yes. The course will feature the horoscopes of prominent figures and current events as the year unfolds. Within this small-cohort container, we'll gently untangle some of the confusion we're all living in.

  • What do I expect to gain from the course?
