Kelly Jennings
Naturopathic Doctor, Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Ritual Space Creator
Dr. Kelly Jennings blends neuroscience with naturopathic, Chinese, and herbal medicine, working at the intersection of ancient healing technologies and contemporary science. Her mission is to demystify medicine and return it to the people it was always meant to serve — investigating what earlier traditions understood about healing that our current model of complex, chronic disease may need to remember.
She graduated valedictorian from NUNM after studying neuroscience at Amherst College, and is a practitioner and teacher of Qi Gong in the Jinjing Gong lineage — Nourishing Life Qi Gong. Dr. Jennings has traveled to China several times to receive direct transmission of her training in Daoist moxibustion and Classical Chinese Medicine, and her work is further informed by two decades of study with indigenous grandmothers and healers across the Mayan, Moshica, Lakota, and Quechua traditions. She maintains a private naturopathic and Chinese medicine practice in the Hudson Valley of New York.

What You'll Learn in the Three Treasures Daoist Moxibustion Practicum:
- Cultivate and Direct Your Qi.
Learn to consciously gather, refine, and direct your own Qi as the foundation of this medicine — because Daoist moxibustion isn't a technique you perform, it's a state you enter. Your capacity to heal begins with your capacity to cultivate.
- Feel De Qi, and Work With It.
Develop the palpable, felt sense of De Qi — the arrival of Qi at the point of treatment — and learn how to recognize it, respond to it, and let it guide your hands in real time. This is the subtle-sense training that no manual can teach; it can only be transmitted.
- Receive Direct Lineage Transmission.
Experience this practice the way it has been passed down for generations — hand to hand, body to body — so that what you carry forward into your home practice or clinic isn't secondhand instruction, but a living transmission you can draw on whenever it's needed.
- Get Hands-On Guidance from a Dedicated Teacher.
If you join in-person, you'll practice under close, individual attention rather than in a crowded workshop. You'll receive real-time correction and support as your technique develops, so that what leaves the weekend with you is genuinely refined — not approximate.
- Learn to Build a Ritual Healing Space.
Discover how to prepare and hold the space around a treatment — the environment, the attunement, the intention — that amplifies the medicine itself. This is the container that transforms a technical procedure into a therapeutic encounter, for you and for the person you're treating.
- Give and Receive Treatments Throughout the Retreat.
Move through the full arc of this medicine by both giving and receiving Three Treasures Daoist moxibustion treatments throughout the retreat. You'll come to know this practice from the inside — as patient as well as practitioner — which is the only way to truly understand its depth.
- Practice Inside a Community of Devoted Practitioners.
Learn alongside a small cohort of fellow students walking this same path, building relationships and a support network that will continue well past the weekend itself — because this medicine, like the lineage that carries it, was never meant to be practiced alone.
FAQ
-
Do I need to complete the Online Series before joining the Practicum?
Yes. The Online Series is required before joining the Practicum. It's where you learn the theory, numerology, lineage history, etc behind this form, and the practicum builds directly on that foundation. The Online Series is some of the richest material on this topic, join us!
-
What do I need to bring?
Please bring: A notebook. A water bottle. Wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move in. During the practicum, students are paired up to practice together.
-
What do I need to know if I'm joining remotely?
Please check the schedule for practice session times. It's best if you can find someone to practice with during the practice sessions. You're warmly welcome to move through the qigong sessions with us. A TA will be there to help answer Zoom questions, and we'll be featuring Kelly's live feedback and critique with the in-room students. In our experience that's been one of the best parts of the livestream, since you're not just watching the technique, you're learning from the corrections as well.
-
What's your refund policy?
As a small course business, we're generally not able to offer refunds, especially on trainings with limited seats. If something does come up, please reach out to us as soon as you can. We'll do our best to work with you however we can.
